All Websites Are Not Built Alike

Most people think a website is a website is a website. To the uneducated, this may seem to be true. After all, to the untrained eye, it is almost impossible to determine a WordPress website from a Laravel application to a modern JavaScript single page application. If you are thinking of building a website, it's important to see what the best platform is to help you reach your goals.

Your Website is the First Business Impression You Make

If you have been on the planet for long, you have heard the expression that first impressions are lasting impressions. If you want people to do business with you (or your company), you must make the best impression you can. Or they will do business with your competitors.

Today, your website can make or break your next sale. It is essential to make your website your sales partner, not a hindrance.

Your Website Has a Purpose

I believe that everything has a purpose and your website has a purpose too. Years ago, websites were little more than business cards that showed another form of marketing to customers who were on the internet. Today, your website can be a selling machine that helps you grow your business. If your website isn't helping you grow your business, then it is nothing more than a nicety. In some cases,  your business may not need a website, such as a restaurant that has been open in a small town for 20 years.

The truth is that today, most businesses who want to grow need a marketing platform, not just a website. The question then is "Does our web presence help us grow or is it just another bill that needs to be paid?"

Platforms I Work In

When I started in this career in 2011, I coded my first website. Nothing major, just a little HTML and CSS. Today, I write HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, and more. What is more important than the languages I have coded is the platforms that I have worked in and their functions.

WordPress Development

After I struggled with ranking on search engines, I checked out various platforms and found that WordPress ranked better with search engines than any other platform readily available. It was easy to install and easy for a "noobie" like me to build my first website. I built my first WordPress website in 2012. Since then, I learnt how to build themes and plugins from scratch. I have built over 200 WordPress sites for clients since then. If you are looking for a seasoned WordPress developer for your business website, let's get together on a call and see if we are right for each other.

Laravel

I fell in love with Laravel applications as soon as I realized that I could build my own dashboards and content management systems with this robust PHP-based platform. I have worked adding a React.js front-end to the Laravel back-end, as well as Vue.js. The modern JavaScript front-end gives front-end page speed for managing data in the back-end. It is very API friendly and works great with custom databases. If you are considering a robust platform for your next web application, Laravel might be the platform and I might be the Laravel Developer for you.

Shopify

Shopify is one of the best eCommerce platforms with customizable templates, easy integrations into social media marketing, and user-friendly back-end. It is a proprietary (they own the back-end) platform so you can also avoid server-side issues. Templates are fully customizable by a Shopify Partner who understand how to build Shopify templates and themes. I became a Shopify Partner in 2019 and have worked on several Shopify sites since. If you are considering a Shopify site for your next eCommerce business, let's get on a call together and get your project making money.

HubSpot

HubSpot is a versatile marketing platform for businesses that revolves around one of the best Customer Relationship Management platforms in the world. Based on the concept of inbound marketing, HubSpot is one of the most effective marketing platforms for companies of all sizes. If you're missing sales due to not maintaining clear lines of communication with your prospects, HubSpot's CRM and marketing platform might be for you. HubSpot can also use the HubSpot CMS, a proprietary website development that integrates with their CRM and email marketing platforms.

I began using the HubSpot CRM in 2016 and became a HubSpot Provider in 2020. I hold HubSpot certifications in Client Management, Content Marketing, Email Marketing, HubSpot Sales Software, Inbound, Inbound Marketing Inbound Sales, and Seling Sales Services. I will soon re-instate my certification in HubSpot CMS for Developers.

If you are considering growing your business better with HubSpot, let's get on a call together and see how I can help.
